SANTA ANA – The Dons snapped their 11-game losing streak in a big way with their 18-3 win over Los Angeles Pierce College in a non-conference game. The win improves the Dons to 12-14-1 while LA Pierce falls to 12-16.

The 18 runs were scored on 13 hits as the Dons matched their season-high with 18 runs. The bulk of the runs came in the fifth inning as the Dons scored 10 runs on six hits while sending 15 batters to the plate. The highlight of the fifth was Cameron Baranek driving in all four of his RBI on two hits.

On the game, Frankie Nogales went 2-for-2 with three RBI and two runs scored as he reached base in all four plate appearances. Julio Garcia added two RBI on two hits while Dillon Fetty, Nestor Linares, Colin Winn, Devan Campos, Manuel Segura and Troy Baird each drove in one run apiece.

On the mound, Grant Wilhelm (1-5) got the win as he held the Brahmas scoreless over five innings while allowing just four hits and striking out seven batters. Derek Galvin (3-1) took the loss for Pierce as he allowed five runs, all earned, on six hits in 4.1 innings of work.
