SANTA ANA – Just a game after scoring 18 runs, the Dons were held to one run in their 5-1 loss to Mt. San Antonio College in a non-conference game. The loss drops the Dons to 12-15-1 while Mt. SAC improves to 14-13 on the season.

The visiting Mounties jumped out early with back-to-back home runs in the first inning by Edgar Cabral and Travis Santiago before the Dons cut the lead in half with a run in the third. Manuel Segura singled in Frankie Nogales who had doubled earlier in the inning.

But that would be the only offense for the Dons while Mt. SAC added three unearned runs in the fourth inning to set the score to 5-1. The three runs came across for the Mounties on just one hit as the Dons committed three errors in the inning.

Kevin Clementi (0-2) took the loss for the Dons as he allowed all five runs, two earned, on five hits in 3.2 innings of work. Michael Starns (5-3) got the win for the Mounties as he allowed just one run on seven hits over seven innings of work.
