SANTA ANA - The Dons gave their fans a show in their final home game of the season in the form of a 5-1 victory over Irvine Valley College. The win improves the Dons to 13-4-3 overall and 8-2-3 in conference with just one match remaining. The Dons also closed ground on first-place Orange Coast College as the Pirates played Fullerton College to a 1-1 tie, making Orange Coast's conference lead to just two points going into the final match.

The Dons opened scoring in the 21st minute when Brandon Novoa set up Luis Venegas on the right side for a long shot and the goal. Six minutes later, Leonardo Contreras sent a pass from the end line in front of the goal where Novoa chipped a shot in to put the Dons up 2-0.
