Season Preview: Men's Soccer

SANTA ANA, Calif. – The Santa Ana College Men's Soccer team is ready for another season after making an appearance in the second round of the 2016 CCCAA Regionals.

Following a victory over conference foe Fullerton College in the first round of regionals, Santa Ana was slightly edged out by Oxnard College in the next round by a score of 2-1. The Dons finished the season with an overall record of 14-3-6, good for third place in the Orange Empire Conference.

Joseph Vasquez and Everado Serrano are expected to return after playing their way onto the First Team All-OEC list in their first year with Dons, while Matheus Cuhna and Christian Gutierrez were named Second-Team All-OEC and are also likely to return.

The Dons will start the season with a scrimmage against Chapman University on Tuesday, August 22nd, at 4:00 p.m. They will then host East Los Angeles College on Tuesday, August 29th at 4:00 p.m.

With many their freshmen coming back, the Dons are in position to make some serious noise in the 2017 season.
