Dons Offense Overwhelms Spartans in Win

SANTA ANA, Calif. –  The Santa Ana College Men's Soccer team put away three goals in its second win of the season against Mira Costa College on Tuesday afternoon.

Cristian Gutierrez got the Dons off to a good start with the first goal of the game in the 19th minute. The Dons extended that lead in the second half when Christopher Lopez found Matheus Cuhna for a goal in the 53rd minute.

The Spartans responded quickly with a goal in the 56th minute from Dagoberto Dominguez to cut the lead to just one.

Diego Henriquez gave the Dons some cushion with his first goal of the season in the 65th minute, making the score 3-1. Mira Costa fought back with a late goal to put some pressure on the Dons but it wasn't enough, as the Dons went on to take the win 3-2.

Next up for the Dons Men's Soccer team is another home match, this time against Oxnard College at 4:00 p.m.
