SAC Men’s Soccer Ends in a Draw to Start the Season

SANTA ANA, Calif. – The Dons Men's Soccer team competed in an intense match against East Los Angeles College on Tuesday afternoon. After battling for 90 minutes, the two teams ended in a tie starting them off with 0-0-1 records.

The Dons took an early lead with a goal from Sophomore Everado Serrano in the 9th minute of the match. Daniel Castro earned the assist with a perfect ball for Serrano's run.

Santa Ana was able to hold on to the lead until Kevin Rodriguez scored in the 64th minute for the Huskies.

Joshua Castellon quickly countered for the Dons with a goal 10 minutes later to regain the lead. The Dons tried to outlast the Huskies until the final whistle blew, but Gustavo Silva of East Los Angeles scored the final goal in the last minutes of the match.

The Santa Ana College Men's Soccer team will play again on Friday, Sept. 1st when they host San Bernardino College at 4:00 p.m.
