Dons Cruise to Win With 3 First Half Goals

SANTA ANA, Calif. –  With three goals in the first half, the Santa Ana College Men's Soccer team cruised to another win in Friday's non-conference matchup with Los Angeles Harbor College.

Christopher Lopez was the story of the game, as he went for two goals and an assist to lead Santa Ana to the win.

The Dons offense started quickly with Lopez creating an opportunity and crossing a ball to set up Matheus Silva for a goal in the 13th minute.

In the 20th minute, Lopez scored the first of his two goals to put the Dons up 2-0. His second goal of the match came 38th minute off a beautiful pass from Matheus Cuhna to bring the Dons lead to 3-0 at the half.

The second half was a competitive one, as four yellow cards were given out. Los Angeles Harbor College came close to scoring but the Dons held out to complete the shutout and improve to 4-1-2 overall.

Santa Ana will return to conference play on Tuesday, Sept. 26th when they host Irvine Valley College at 3:00 p.m.
