Dons Drop Third Straight Game with Loss to Cuyamaca

SANTA ANA – The Dons dropped their third-straight non-conference match following their 3-1 loss to Cuyamaca College. The loss drops the Dons to 1-3-1 while Cuyamaca improves to 3-1-2.

Sylvestre Rivera scored all three goals for the visiting Coyotes scoring in the eight, 36th and 70th minute to put Cuyamaca up 3-0. David Yepez finally got the Dons on the board in the 79th minute when he headed in a shot following a free kick. Abelino Lua assisted on the play after he headed the free kick from Carlos Herrera.

Ismael Rivera allowed all three goals for the Dons in 90 minutes while making four saves. On the other side of the field, Abner Aldtorre made five saves for the Coyotes while allowing the late goal in 90 minutes.

The Dons home stand of non-conference matches continues on Friday as they play host to East Los Angeles College at 1:00 p.m.
