Dons Overcome Early Deficit, Beat Norco 5-2

SANTA ANA - The Dons were forced to comeback from an early deficit before pulling away late for a 5-2 win over visiting Norco College. The Orange Empire Conference victory lifts the Dons to 7-6-4 overall and 6-2-2 in conferencce while Norco falls to 3-11-2 overall and 1-9-0 in conference.

Dong Beom Seo scored the first goal of the match to put the Dons up 1-0 when he beat several defenders to create his own shot in the sixth minute.

But the next two goals would belong to Norco with Fernando Garcia scoring in the 13th minute before Richard Lara scored in the 16th minute as the Mustangs grabbed a 2-1 lead

The Dons would answer to reclaim the lead before the half with Hilario Sanabia scoring the equalizing goal after the Norco defense failed to clear the ball in the 41st minute before Carlos Barrios scored the go-ahead goal in stoppage time. Daniel Alvarez assisted on the latter goal as he sent a pass in on a direct kick from the right side.

Two more goals were added in the second half, both scored by Jangho Yoon. His first goal came in the 83rd minute on a penalty kick before he scored again on a loose ball in the box in the 90th minute. David Yepez drew the foul to set up the penalty kick and Alvarez assisted on Yoon's second goal.

All three goalkeepers were used by the Dons with Andres Figueroa getting the start. He made two saves with two goals against in 38 minutes before giving way to Ismael Rivera, who didn't face a shot in 25 minutes. Cyrus Mohseni closed out the final 27 minutes without facing a shot.
