Dons Shut Out by East Los Angeles 1-0

SANTA ANA - The Dons lost their fourth-straight game following their 1-0 loss to East Los Angeles College in a non-conference match. All four losses have come at home and have dropped the Dons overall record to 1-4-1 while East Los Angeles improves to 3-0-2.

The Huskies goal came in just the 10th minute and was scored by Valentin Mercado after the Dons defense failed to clear the ball.

Ismael Rivera and Cyrus Mohseni shared time in goal with Rivera allowing the lone goal while making two saves in 66 minutes before Mohseni played the final 24 minutes while making three saves.

East Los Angeles had Brian Paredes in goal who turned away all four shots he faced in 90 minutes.

The Dons have one more non-conference match, Tuesday at home against San Bernardino Valley College at 1:00 p.m., before beginning Orange Empire Conference play on September 29 at Fullerton College.
