Barrios with Two Goals as Dons Defeat Cypress 4-0

SANTA ANA - The Dons got back to their winning ways with a 4-0 victory over Cypress College in an Orange Empire Conference match. The win is the first for the Dons (2-4-3, 1-0-1) since their first match of the season and their first in conference competition.

Carlos Barrios scored a pair of goals for the Dons as he scored in the 17th and 52nd minute. His first goal was set up when Jose Contreras stole the ball from Cypress (2-6-1, 0-2-0) in the box before making a quick pass to Barrios who then took one touch around the goalkeeper to get the shot off. His second goal was assisted by Mark Garcia who slipped a pass through the defense to set him up.

Garcia assisted another Dons goal as he had the helper for Dong Beom Seo's goal in the 42nd minute. The fourth goal of the match was an own goal by Cypress, scored in the 86th minute.

Three keepers combined for the shutout for the Dons with Ismael Rivera starting and playing the first half. He made three saves before Andres Figueroa took over for the next 35 minutes, making one save. Cyrus Mohseni didn't face a single shot as he played the final 10 minutes of the match.

For Cypress, Austin Cummins made two saves while allowing two goals in the first 45 minutes before Louis Espindola took over in the second half. Espindola made six saves while also allowing two goals.
