Dons Shut Out at Home for First Time Since 2009 in 5-0 Loss to Orange Coast

SANTA ANA - For the first time since March 26, 2009, the Dons were shut out at home following their 5-0 loss to Orange Coast College. The previous home shutout was a 10-0 loss to Fullerton College.

The Pirates (13-3, 1-1) scored their runs over the first four innings with a two-run first followed by three-straight one-run frames. Orange Coast's final two runs came on solo home runs by Chris Iriart and Chris Blasing.

The Dons (10-5, 1-1), on the other hand, were held to seven hits in the game and got just four baserunners past first base, with only one reaching third base.

Jacob Hill (3-0) picked up the win for OCC as he shut out the Dons over eight innings with seven strikeouts. Andy Weddle (0-1) took the loss for the Dons as he allowed all five runs, four earned, on six hits in four innings.
