Following their two-game sweep of #14 Long Beach City College, the #3 Dons advanced to the CCCAA Baseball Southern Super Regionals and will host #9 Southwestern College in a best-of-three series.
Game one will be Friday, May 9 at 2:00 p.m. with game two being played on Saturday, May 10 at 1:00 p.m. If necessary, a third game will be played on Sunday, May 11 at 1:00 p.m.
The Dons won their opening round series against Long Beach with scores of 17-6 and 6-1 while Southwestern upset #8 Rio Hondo College with a 12-3 win in game one before shutting out Rio Hondo 3-0 in the deciding game.
This will be the first meeting between Santa Ana and Southwestern since the 2009 Regionals, when the Dons swept the Roadrunners by scores of 6-5 and 12-2.
Admission for the Super Regionals is $10 for general admission and $7 for for students, faculty, staff, senior citizens (60 and over) and children (under 12).
