SANTA ANA - Despite struggling offensively through nine innings, the Dons finally put together a rally to edge Glendale College 3-2 in 10 innings of a non-conference game. The win improves the Dons to 23-11 while Glendale drops to 19-14.

Glendale scored the game's first run in fifth inning when David Garcia drew a two-out walk before advancing to third on a single. Later in the inning, Jack Sheeley broke for second base and Garcia scored from third when the Dons threw to second, attempting to get the out.

The Dons would come back to tie the game in the bottom of the fifth when Garret Brown singled to left-center field, breaking up David Lira's no-hitter. Brown later scored the tying run on a failed pick-off attempt at first base, with the throw getting far enough away from the defense to allow Brown to score from first.

A similar play in the sixth inning set up the Dons to take their first lead of the game. After Cameron Baranek reached on an infield single, another failed pick-off attempt advanced him to third base. Joshua Vargas followed with a RBI-single through the right side that put the Dons up 2-1.

However, that lead wouldn't hold up as Glendale found the game-tying run in the eighth inning. Dylan Trimarchi hit a one-out single before scoring Raul Camas' RBI-single through the right side.

After the Dons held Glendale hitless through the ninth and 10th innings, Nestor Linares led the bottom of the 10th off with a single through the left side before a fly-out to center field. Baranek then hit a single before Vargas was intentionally walked to load the bases. That set up Alex Mascarenas who delivered with the game-winning hit through the right side, scoring Linares from third.

A.J. Franks (3-1) got the win for the Dons as held Glendale scoreless over the final 2.2 innings, including two perfect innings in the ninth and the 10th. Jackson Sigman (0-1) took the loss for Glendale after allowing the game-winning run on three hits while recording just one out. Sigman came in for relief for Lira in the 10th inning after Lira had thrown 118 pitches over nine innings. Lira took the no-decision after allowing two runs, none earned, on seven hits.
