SANTA ANA - A day after breaking the Santa Ana College record for most career runs, Alexandra Perkins tied one SAC record, broke one SAC record and established a third SAC record in the Dons (22-11, 10-7) 10-0 win over Orange Coast College in five innings.

After leading the first inning off with a walk, Perkins stole second and third base, tying and then breaking the SAC record for most career stolen bases with her 50th and 51st career stolen bases. The record of 50 stolen bases was held by Kristi Bolle who set the record in 1996.

One inning later, Perkins reached on an error before stealing second base, her 31st of the season, tying the SAC record that was also set by Bolle in 1996. That record will remain a tie for the time being, as Perkins was replaced at the end of the inning.

Perkins also set another record with that stolen base which had not been previously kept. That was also her 31st-consecutive stolen base without being caught stealing, a feat that has never been accomplished as Bolle was caught stealing three times in 1996.

Following her first two stolen bases, Perkins came around to score the game's first run when Danielle Hernandez hit a RBI-single to left field. The Dons would go on to establish a 4-0 lead in the first inning with a run coming across on an error, another on a passed ball and the final run coming in following a Heather Robertson walk. Robertson was caught in a rundown attempting to steal second base, allowing Hernandez to score.

The Dons would add another four runs in the second inning, starting with Natalie Valdez scoring when Alyssa Yglesias reached on an error. Perkins scored next on a RBI-single by Sabrina Perez before Yglesias scored on when Hernandez reached on an error. Perez scored the final run of the frame on a sacrifice fly by Becky Poirier.

The final two runs of the game in the third inning with Eryn Martinez scoring on a sacrifice fly by Marissa Ross before Valdez scored on a RBI-double by Perez.

On the mound, Chantal Oelrich (10-6) picked up the win in relief of Devon Rodriguez. Oelrich allowed just one hit over three innings while Rodriguez held the Pirates to two hits over two innings before leaving the game after being hit by a pitch. Orange Coast's (8-21, 1-17) Kristin Nance (1-6) took the loss after allowing 10 runs, one earned, on four hits over four innings.
