Dons Drop Conference Opener to Orange Coast 2-0

SANTA ANA - The Dons opened Orange Empire Conference competition with a 2-0 loss to visiting Orange Coast College. The loss drops the Dons to 1-4-0 on the season and 0-1-0 in the OEC while Orange Coast improves to 4-1-1 overall and 2-0-0 in conference.

The Pirates goals came in the 24th and 81st minutes, respectively. Maria Jose Rodriguez scored the first goal with the assist going to Jordan Bradley while Samantha Sandizimier scored the second goal on a rebound.

Teresa Pintor played the full 90 minutes for the Dons, making five saves with two goals allowed. For Orange Coast, Jordyn Gressier turned away the only two shots she faced.

The Dons host Cypress College next Tuesday, September 23 at 3:00 p.m. for their next match.
