SANTA ANA - The Dons 2014 campaign came to an end today with a 1-0 loss to visiting Fullerton College in an Orange Empire Conference match. Prior to the match, the Dons honored their 10 sophomores who were playing in their final match at SAC.
Fullerton (8-12-1, 5-10-1) got the only goal of the match in the 51st minute when Nicole Tenorio was the first player to a rebound. Tenorio had a shot on an empty net for the goal.
The Dons (2-14-4, 1-11-4) had two scoring opportunities late but Fullerton's Klarissa Flores turned both away as she made three saves in the match. Cristina Lizarraga made eight saves for the Dons while allowing the one goal.
The Dons 10 sophomores honored prior to the match were Yessenia Brito, Marcy Cervantes, Brianna Cruz, Syprus Ohanesian, Cindy Olivan, Karina Perez, Lizzy Perez, Teresa Pintor, Jessica Reyes and Bereniz Velazquez.
