SANTA ANA - The Dons dropped their Orange Empire Conference match to visiting Cypress College 3-0. The loss drops the Dons to 1-5-0 overall and 0-2-0 in conference play while Cypress improves to 5-0-2 and 2-0-1.

The Chargers scored on goals by Jade Perez and Laura Najera in the first half before Layla Silva scored in the second half. Silva also assisted a goal while Jenny Marin assisted on two goals.

In goal, Teresa Pintor made five saves for the Dons in 90 minutes while Cypress' Paulina Serna made one save on the only shot she faced.

The Dons travel to Irvine Valley College this Friday before hosting Norco College next Tuesday at 3:00 p.m.
