  • Softball Transfers Four Sophomores to Four-Year Universities

    Four sophomores from the softball team recently signed their National Letters of Intent to continue their academic and athletic careers at four-year universities.
  • Keila Tenorio and Kristen Hooper Named All-Orange Empire Conference

    Two of the Dons top four hitters were awarded with All-Orange Empire Conference honors following the Dons fourth place finish. Freshman infielder Keila Tenorio was named First-Team All-OEC while sophomore catcher Kristen Hooper received Second-Team All-OEC honors.
  • Dons Shut Out San Diego City 6-0 in Final Home Game

    The Dons gave their home fans a treat in their final home game of the regular season by shutting out visiting San Diego City College 6-0 in a non-conference game. The game was originally scheduled for February 7, but was postponed due to rain.

    The Dons had their four game Orange Empire Conference win streak snapped with a 5-2 loss to Riverside City College. In the loss, the Dons managed base runners in just two of the seven innings.

    After trailing 3-0 late in the game, the Dons rallied late before Alexandra Perkins delivered with a two-out single in the ninth inning to give the Dons the 4-3 win over rival Santiago Canyon College.

    For the fourth time in their last five games, the Dons had a game come down to the final inning. This time it was a 5-4 walk-off win over Riverside City College.

    The Santa Ana College (SAC) softball team lost to visiting Saddleback College 6-5 despite rallying back from a 5-1 deficit. The Gauchos stopped the Dons rally before scoring the game-winning run in the top of the seventh inning.
  • Dons Escape with a 5-4 Win over Orange Coast

    When it was all said and done, the Dons 5-4 victory over Orange Coast College came down to two pitches. The first was a passed ball to set up the scoring run and the second was a wild pitch that scored the game-winning run.

    After managing just five base runners in five innings, the Dons (11-5, 3-3) sent all nine batters to the plate and scored four runs in the sixth inning to defeat Santiago Canyon College (SCC) 4-0 in an Orange Empire Conference game.

  • Offense Bounces Back in Dons 9-2 Win over Citrus

    A day after the Dons were held hitless in their 1-0 win over Fullerton College, Alexandria Perkins made sure that wouldn't happen again. Perkins led the Dons 9-2 win over Citrus College (8-5) off with an infield single, the first of nine hits for the Dons (10-4).

    The Santa Ana College (SAC) softball team defeated visiting Golden West College 4-2 for its first Orange Empire Conference (OEC) win of the season. The Dons are now 7-3 overall and 1-1 in OEC play while the Rustlers fall to 3-7 and 1-1.
  • Dons Lose to Palomar 9-5 After Giving Up Early Lead

    The Santa Ana College (SAC) softball team fell behind 5-0 early and was never able to come back against visiting Palomar College. The undefeated Comets went on to defeat the Dons 9-5 in the non-conference game.
  • Dons Rally Late Before Falling in Extra Innings to Cerritos

    For the second season in a row, the Dons were handed their first loss of the season by Cerritos College. This year, after starting 5-0, the Dons fell 10-7 in eight innings to the Falcons.

    For the second time in five days, the Santa Ana College (SAC) softball team defeated East Los Angeles College. The latest win was a 4-0 victory in the Dons home opener to improve SAC to 5-0 on the young season.
