SANTA ANA - For the first time in the 2014 season, the Dons were shut out 2-0 by visiting Fullerton College. The loss drops the Dons record to 15-2 overall and 4-2 in conference while Fullerton improves to 9-6 and 1-4.

The only two runs came in the second and fifth innings respectively. Breana Pineda provided the best offensive highlight of the game with her solo home run to centerfield before Bianca Espinoza scored in the fifth when Alyssa Nava reached on an error.

Despite being held to just three hits, the Dons managed to place four runners in scoring position. However, two of those runners never made it past second base and the other two were left stranded on third.

The offensive frustration for the Dons was caused by Alyssa Felipe who pitched the complete game shutout for Fullerton. She allowed just three hits while walking five batters and striking out four. Lindsey Esparza (6-1) suffered her first loss of the season after allowing the one run on three hits in 3.2 innings of work.
