SANTA ANA - The Dons were unable to hold on to an early 2-0 lead as they lost to visiting Antelope Valley College 3-2 in a non-conference game. The loss drops the Dons to 4-7 on the season while Antelope Valley improves to 3-5-1.

Emily Whitecavage led the first inning off with a walk before Kori Cochran reached on an infield single. Katlyn Harvey then advanced both runners with a sacrifice bunt before Vanessa Moreno singled in Whitecavage. Tori Ferguson followed with a RBI-groundout to plate Cochran and put the Dons up 2-0.

But Antelope Valley came back with a pair of runs in the top of the second to tie the game at 2-2. The Marauders took advantage of several errors by SAC's defense to score the two runs as they were credited with just one hit during the inning.

The 2-2 tie was broken by the visiting team in the top of the third inning, again with the aid of a SAC error. After a leadoff single and a sacrifice bunt, Melissa Munoz scored the eventual game-winning run on an error.
