SANTA ANA – The Dons wrapped up their regular season with a 4-2 loss to Santiago Canyon College. The Dons head to the postseason with their second place finish and their 24-13 overall record and 16-5 mark in conference. Santiago Canyon finishes the season with a 26-12 overall record and a 13-8 record in conference.

Emily Whitecavage led the bottom of the first off with a home run to centerfield, putting the Dons up 1-0 early. But the Hawks rallied for four runs in the fourth inning, highlighted by Kaitlynn Lanksbury's bases-clearing double.

The Dons would for rally a run in the sixth when Christina McCullogh singled in Annie Dowling to cut the score to 4-2. But the Dons would leave a pair of runners stranded in the seventh as the Hawks held on for the victory.

Victoria Franks took the loss as she allowed four runs, all earned, on seven hits over seven innings. She also struck out five batters. Stephanie Pelletier (10-9) held the Dons to just one run on five hits in seven innings of relief work to get the win.
