Needing a win to extend their season, the Dons saw their season come to an end following their 8-2 loss to host Rio Hondo College. The win advances the Roadrunners to the California Community College Athletic Association Baseball State Championships next weekend in Bakersfield.

The Dons found themselves in a hole from the get-go after Rio Hondo staked a 4-0 lead after two innings. After falling behind 7-0 in the fourth inning, the Dons pushed their first run across in the sixth on Trevor Magno's RBI-double that plated Geoff Schuller.

Each team would score once more in the final three innings to set up the final score of 8-2. JB Bryant suffered the loss for the Dons in his first outing of the season.
